POET AND PLANET: READING ADA LIMÓN

Class fee: FREE
September 22 | 2 PM

with Lori Brack
Before the U.S. Poet Laureate arrives in Salina for a reading on Oct. 17, take this opportunity to read and chat about “In Praise of Mystery: A Poem for Europa” and other Ada Limón poems. Guided by your questions and responses, you’ll learn about Limón’s work and life, her role and project as laureate, and above all (like the NASA spacecraft headed to a moon of Jupiter with her Europa poem etched into it), read three poems together in a friendly group of curious thinkers like yourself. Poet and educator Lori Brack will lead the discussion at the Salina Art Center. “In Praise of Mystery: An Evening with Ada Limón” is hosted by Humanities Kansas. Salina Arts & Humanities and the Salina Art Center.
